Vastu & Shilpa
Architecture
A compact stone garbhagriha housing the devi's shila, surrounded by open courtyards for parikrama. The stonework at Gangotri has been maintained across generations by the temple trust, honouring both the vastu tradition and the region's craftsmanship.
Isht Devta
The Deity — Maa Ganga
Maa Ganga is worshipped here as the presiding form of the divine. Devotees offer prayers, flowers, and sacred chants; the daily aarti cycles anchor the temple's rhythm from Brahma Muhurta at dawn to the Shayan aarti at night.
